Family Resource Center

Family Resource Centers are a home like environment where support and hope are offered to families, whether you just need some tips on how to handle your child’s tantrums or you need assistance with your Family & Children’s Services case plan. The Mendocino County Family Centers, located in Ukiah and Willits, provide a variety services including parenting classes which are open to the general public, Intake Support groups and Family Empowerment groups for parents who have dependency court cases, supervision of visits between foster children and their parents, transportation for children to and from their visits, and housing advocacy and support for our homeless clients.

Laytonville Healthy Start Family Resource Center’s mission is to help create a safe, supportive community environment that promotes prosperity, self-reliance, and positive relationships among community members.

Our vision for Round Valley is a safe, productive and positive environment that promotes health, well-being and positive relationships within families, which can then extend to relationships with the community at large. As a newly established program the RVIHC Wellness Center strives to provide resource and referral services to the community. As we grow and become more involved in the Round Valley community, we will partner with local individuals and organizations in order to facilitate and provide new innovative ways to meet the needs of our local families. We are excited about future opportunities to become a part of the daily life of our community, bringing people together in ways that strengthen individuals, families and the community at large.

Established in 2009 the Family Resource Center Network of Mendocino County supports Family Resource Centers (FRCs) and other partners in their vital work to help families thrive. FRCs are family-friendly access points for numerous services tailored to the culture, resources and needs of the communities they serve and use a whole family approach to help families achieve personal and family sustainability.

The Arbor Youth Resource Center is a place where transition-age youth can come to find supports and services to help them move from adolescence to adulthood successfully.  We do this by providing social, emotional, and physical support and care.  Our programs provide education support, housing navigation, peer mentorship, health and well-being, employment workshops and more. These centers focus particularly on resources and services that promote opportunities to engage youth as partners and provide youth the opportunity to develop the real-life skills necessary to succeed as community citizens and workers.

We provide folks aged 16-24 with twelve week paid work experience placements in local businesses and organizations, transportation assistance, work clothes purchase's, service navigation, gathering workforce documents and more. Contact Cass

Works with local Humboldt County youth 16-26. We believe everybody needs somebody on their team. Transitioning to employability and independence can be a real challenge when a young person has not received the support and guidance they deserve.

Serves young people ages 16-24, particularly young people who identify as low income, homeless, disabled, or who have justice involved experience. We assist with vocational counseling, job search assistance, paid internships, paid training/classes, financial assistance for training and work related costs, and many other services.

Offers services for people 12-18 who are concerned about their substance use and looking to make healthy changes. We provide transportation, links to resources, case management, nutritious snacks, and gift cards to support positive efforts. We enjoy taking clients on fun adventures to the beach, the zoo, the skatepark, local trails, etc. Individuals who want to talk with us about services or set up an appointment, do not need a parent/ guardians permission, although having a supportive adult available is encouraged. CYC is a youth led organization that develops youth leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative and policy change. It is open to current and former foster youth ages 14-24. If interested in applying for the CYC, contact Keishanne

TAY offers support and resources for houseless young people 16-26. Get connected to a peer coach, get help with community referrals, gather so,e emergency supplies or sign up for CalFresh.
